The Peeples Middle School Robotics Team qualified for and competed in the Mississippi FIRST® Tech Challenge Championship on March 6–7, 2026, in Oxford, Mississippi. Our scholars proudly represented Peeples while showcasing their skills in engineering, coding, and teamwork against top robotics teams from across the state.

Coach McPhearson coached the South Boys All-Star Team, while 8th grade scholar Chancellor Moore won the Slam Dunk Contest and was named Player for the South. Peeples Middle School had three scholars selected to represent the school in the All-Star Game.

Peeples Middle School scholars participated in the JPS District STEAM Expo, where Jerry Young earned 1st Place in Engineering and Kenzerius Price earned 2nd Place in Inorganic Chemistry. Both scholars now qualify to compete at the Regional Fair at Jackson State University.

6th-grade scholars attended the Turn the Page Event hosted by the Mississippi Book Festival. Scholars explored Chainbreakers by Julian Randall, learned about the adventurous journey of Violet Moon, and received a signed copy of the book, inspiring a love for reading and storytelling.
